Our Articles section is for library or librarian related topics, issues etc for both serious subjects and items of a more humorous or irreverent nature. Additonally we looking for young and/or new authors and artists looking to display their work in our Creative Annex.

Our guidelines in the Annex are broad, and include
We do not censor as to adult content or language, however we draw the line at gratuitous adult material or violence. We reserve the right to reject submissions or to remove posted stories at any time. We reserve the right to gently edit all submissions for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity. But please proofread your material for errors and submit a professional copy. Most work will be posted within one week after being received. If it is not posted within two weeks let us know, we will investigate and let you know, there is a good chance we got busy or it was missed.
When submitting include
Anyone who submits must give a valid e-mail in the submission form so we have a way to validate requests that you may make about your work. Please include an authors name a title for your work submitted along with its genre. Please submit only your work, or work in the public domain with attribution.
We want to know a little about you as an author, and so does your audience. We would love a brief biographical statement, and are encouraged--but not required--to describe the stories behind the story:
The Author retains ownership of the material and can ask to have it removed at any time. The item will be removed within 72 hours of a verified author request. If you request that we correct or change any work you have already published, please send a new copy with the changes made and we will replace the old work. The Creative Annex does accept reprints. You must include where the piece originally was published, the date it was published and what rights are for sale. By submitting, you grant us the right to post your story to our website for a period of one year, and to archive it for up to two years. You retain all other rights. On acceptance, a standard contract will be emailed to you.
There is no set minimum length, save for what is required to tell the story, however you should put a reasonable limit on the maximum length of the submission -- usually 6,000 words.
Send written works as plain text attachment or PDF, please no wordprocessor files. Images can be attached, in whatever format necessary. Since we format for our space, you do not have to worry tweaking the layout for word processor files. Bold and Italics can be indicated in the standard way (_italics_ , *bold*). We will setup a preview page for you the author of how the item will look prior to publication. Remember, those interested in submitting to The Curmudgeony Librarian need to talk to us first.
