Survey Results, Religion, Faith and the Library

In this survey I chose to explore what we believe. It was interesting to try to boil down the vast sea of ideas to these ten choices.

I was rather surprised how close the breakdown of library society matched that of American society as a whole. It would be interesting to break this survey down by gender.

Personally, I’d like to see a breakdown of beliefs within denominations, i.e. liberal/progressive or conservative Christian, Reform or Orthodox Jew, etc. I’m guessing you’ll find a far larger number who tend toward the liberal side. Which may or may not match the general population of the country, hard to say. For example, I consider myself a progressive Christian who probably has far more in common with a UU or even an agnostic than with conservative members of my own faith system.
